Description
The (Boy) Scout was first introduced in 1918 after World War I. The initial version featured a soldered tag on the tank, while the later version had the name and patents stamped into the top crown. Around 1923, the Sport model replaced the Scout and continued production until 1947. The (Boy) Sport was manufactured using revised tooling that eliminated some of the soldering requirements found in the Scout.
