W.T. Kirkman Lanterns presents Authentic Replica Passenger Car Center Lamps, featuring the Adams & Westlake Model #91 1/2 masterpiece.

We’ve meticulously replicated parts from an original lamp, creating virtually identical, fully functional oil lamps. Our museum display utilizes warm L.E.D. Spot Lamps in smoke jacks for a flame-like effect. The photo of the Lamp installed in the coach shows the LED effect.

These lamps consist of 23 Metal Castings, using the lost wax method, 8 metal spinning, 16 C.N.C. milled parts, and 6 glass elements – faithfully echoing the intricate 19th-century design.

Our U.S.-made lamps are assembled in San Diego County, offering standard two-arm or prestigious four-arm chandeliers in polished two-tone brass/bronze, Brass Plated/Polished, or Nickel Plated. Optional Smoke Jacks available. Custom inquiries welcome.

This Model Lamp was offered by at least the 3 top railcar hardware manufacturers: Adams & Westlake, Dayton Manufacturing, and Post & Company. These lamps showcase subtle variations aiding identification. They served as standard coach lamps for railroads like the Denver & Rio Grande. Boasting 2 large center draft burners, they emit a powerful 2000 lumens – akin to a 150-watt Incandescent light bulb.
