After more than 100 years, the Den Haan Rotterdam Company of Holland has just announced that they have discontinued production of their entire line of oil burning marine lamps, lanterns, and parts.  All DHR items are limited to stock on hand, and not subject for returns, refunds, or exchanges.  Some items may have shop ware or minor blemishes/dings/dents, etc..  With this in mind, we are offering a substantial discount on the remaining DHR inventory.

The Dutch-made solid brass K.P.M. Commander’s Lantern is the most elegant marine lantern made, and can be used both indoors and out.  The wind-proof design features decorative glass panels with hand cut star bursts that surround the insert lamp with a #14 Kosmos burner, and an integrated corrugated reflector.   The sturdy and ergonomic wood grip makes it nice to carry.  The lamp is constructed of solid brass with a polished and lacquered finish to ensure a long lasting shine.  The manufacturer of the K.P.M. Lantern, Den Haan Rotterdam, was founded in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1922. It began as a manufacturer of navigation and interior lighting for inland and seagoing vessels. All lamps, many of them replicas of old models, are handmade to commercial ship standards.
