Description
O.E.M. Brass Plated replacement Dietz #272 “Rising-Cone” only. (The “Cone” rises with the globe plate.) PLEASE NOTE: This part is considered a non-user serviceable part, as it is press-fitted into the globe plate, and must either be pressed or soldered in place with the correct orientation in respect to the burner’s wick tube. Use to replace missing cones in Dietz #8 Air Pilot, and older Dietz #2 lanterns that use a “Cone-Less/Rising Cone” burner.
NOTE: The Dietz #272 burner was originally used on Dietz #2 size lanterns, namely the #2 Blizzard and #2 Wizard, from 1913 until 1917 when World War 1 material shortages prompted a reversion back to the older style #262 “Wing-Lock Cone” burner. It was re-introduced in 1937 when Dietz started production of the Streamlined versions of the #2 Blizzard and #2 D-Lite, which were discontinued and replaced by the #8 Air Pilot in 1958, which continues to use the #272 burner.
