Another W.T. Kirkman exclusive: All of our hooded reflectors are pitched at 30 degrees to perfectly cast light directly under the lantern to eliminate any shadow, making them ideally suited for use over a desk or table. They are made in our California Shop on hand operated equipment, and are authentic in construction, right down to the hand soldered joints.

I bought the black shield to match my black Dietz Jupiter 2500. That’s the lantern I use for hanging overhead light, and the shield really aids directing the light where it’s wanted. It’s beautifully made and while certainly not cheap, the workmanship justifies the cost. I like getting what I’ve paid for!

Built by a Tin Smith with over 50 years experience, our Reflectors are Proudly Made in the U.S.A. To note to those reading this comment, Black Reflectors are painted only on the top surface and the underside is left galvanized to reflect the light. We designed the angle of the reflector such that at about 5 feet off of the ground there is little to no shadow directly underneath the lantern.

I purchased one for a Dietz 2500, I read the reviews and decided to pull the trigger. I got it painted blue to match the lantern. It came very well packaged (and undamaged), and it fits perfectly and looks and works great! Very pleased!
